If you ever believe (by comments going to mail or any other way) that my editing actually change meaning without proper notification, especially in major way, please, feel free to scold me. I'm doing it because English isn't my native language, and I'm doing a lot of mistakes - not by meaning but by grammar or orphography - that, with thoroughful rereading, I often found and want to edit. You can't declare your understanding of fun as universal one.ĭisclamer: I'm editing my posts often. Please keep in mind that "fun" is subjective. Still, it's a personal opinion, and I can be wrong, and I remember it even when I'm arguing fiercely. (p.s., I recognize my assumptions might be wrong and please correct me if I’m they are I am not criticizing anybody who does like face paint and likes the face paint setup the way it is, this is just personal preference this is not a criticism of the developers or any design decisions they have made, I’m just trying to understand finally, I know that I can just use just use original cultures and religions and this won’t be an issue, but I really want shattered/random world, just not with so many portraits wearing face paint (completely removing face paint from the game, if possible, would probably be my preferred option)).Įverything written up there is a personal opinion that, I believe, is based on some grounding, and I'm ready to defend this opinion.

NORSE TRIBAL FACE PAINT MOD
Is there a setting or a file edit or a mod that I can use to completely remove face paint from the game so that no one gets face paint? if so, are others also bothered by this and believe face paint should be reserved for tribal or nomadic governments rather than tied to religion?ģ. am I correct that face paint is tied to religion rather than government or culture?Ģ.

I seems like face paint should be restricted to tribal or nomad *governments* so that feudal governments don’t wear face paint (I know I can use my imagination and accept it as part of a random world, but I just can’t so that’s not on option personally, it’s just too weird for me).ġ. With randomized religions, if the French get a certain religion they will wear face paint. The only reason I can think of is the face paint is tied to *religion* rather than government or culture. As I understand it, face paint is a tribal or nomadic thing. My issue is, most of the time I end up with, for example, feudal French portraits wearing face paint. I like tribal heavy but I always reload until I get a map with feudalism somewhere in Europe. I always choose the option to use historical cultures, just because I still like my European cultures in Europe, etc, But I still chose random culture names and totally random religions. In some parts of Papua New Guinea shell money and pig tusks are currencies which can buy most things.I love the Holy Fury expansion and always start off with a shattered or random world. Body painting and this type of pig’s tusk prestigious finery is exhibited squeezed in the mouth or as head dress during certain ceremonies and rituals. Pig’s tusks are considered very valuable, serving as traditional native money as well as decoration. Pigs are used for bride prize payments, as gifts to establish or maintain social relations and as payments to resolve social disputes or strengthen relationships between individuals, families, clans and tribes. Pigs are culturally the most important animals used extensively in many forms of exchange, alms-giving, feasting, compensation and as symbols of social status and rank. Pigs have strong socio-cultural significance in Papua New Guinea. It can for example represent the origin or the social position, and also protect from evil forces, and show bravery and beauty. Body painting is often practised for rites of passage for puberty, marriage and death, or during tribal war. Body painting with clay and other natural pigments existed in most tribal cultures and still survives in this ancient form among the people of Papua New Guinea.
